We operate more like a tech startup than a traditional farm.
- The Founders and investors are successful entrepreneurs and investors from Silicon Valley.
- We encourage calculated risks. Since mulberries were a new crop to America, we were strongly advised by experienced farmers to initially plant around 100 trees to understand the crop. This would have delayed us by 3-4 years, so we took a calculated risk of planting over 10,000 trees over two years. That risk is now paying dividends 🙂
