How to Pick
For purple Himalayan mulberries, look for deep purple berries that detach with a gentle tug.
-
Place berries gently into containers—don’t overpack.
-
You know it’s full when the lid closes easily without squashing.
-
Keep containers flat in your bag; avoid stacking to prevent damage.
Checking Out
At checkout, staff will count your containers through the clear carrying bag. Please help us by making them easily visible and ensuring none are hidden (e.g., in strollers or other bags). You’ll pay based on how many plastic containers you’ve picked.
Storage Tips – Keep Them Fresh
Mulberries are extremely perishable. To extend their freshness, follow these storage guidelines carefully.

Do NOT wash them before refrigerating

Moisture accelerates spoilage
- Refrigerate mulberries as soon as possible.
- Avoid leaving them at room temperature—it shortens their shelf life.
- If you’re traveling far, bring a cooler to keep them fresh on the way home.
- Wash before eating, like any fruit.
- Don’t wash before refrigerating—moisture reduces shelf life.
- For kids’ lunches, it’s fine to wash, gently dry, and refrigerate overnight.

Freezing Mulberries
- Gently wash and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Spread them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and cover with foil.
- Place the sheet flat in the freezer.
- Once frozen, transfer the berries to a Ziploc bag. This keeps them from clumping. You can double-bag for extra protection.
- When ready to eat, do not defrost. Like other berries, defrosted mulberries lose both flavor and texture.
- Enjoy them frozen—like little mulberry popsicles!
