    Job Description

    This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic farm operation. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Farm Manager who wants to make a meaningful impact while advancing their career in sustainable agriculture.

    As Farm Manager, you will lead farm operations and manage the team of a few farm workers, ensuring that Habitera Farms thrives through each season. This role offers tremendous room for growth as the farm expands and develops new projects. If you’re someone who loves agriculture, thrives in a hands-on leadership role, and wants to be part of an innovative and growing farm, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

    This role requires the candidate to either live on-site or relocate near the farm.

    The Farm Manager will report directly to the farm General Manager.


    Job Responsibilities

    We want to hire a great farm manager with the following key responsibilities:

    Farm Operations

    • Manage and Optimize the farm year round to make sure the trees are growing in a healthy, organic and pest free way.
    • Manage the team of 5-6 farm workers and all the farm equipment to ensure smooth farm operations.
    • Work closely with our R&D team to be on the leading edge of Farm Tech.
    • Manage and Optimize our Harvest each year as we grow rapidly
    • Hire, train and oversee the seasonal harvest labor from labor contractors and possibly H2A workers from Mexico.
    • Optimize the harvest process constantly and ensure we hit the desired harvest speed and quality.
    • Ensure smooth delivery to the farmers markets and retail distribution channels.

    Education & Experience

    • B.S. in Horticulture, Agriculture, Sustainable Systems, or a related field (preferred).
    • 3–5 years experience in a similar farm management or operations role. (preferred).

    Technical Skills

    • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
    • Experience with organic farming methods and certification processes (preferred).
    • Strong mechanical and irrigation system troubleshooting skills. (preferred)

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience & fit)

    As Farmers Market Lead, you will lead different farmers markets and manage the team of about four farmers market staff, ensuring that Habitera Farms thrives through each season. This role offers tremendous room for growth as we expand the variety of products we sell and go into many new markets.

    Job Responsibilities

    We want to hire a great farmers market lead with the following key responsibilities:

    Farmers Markets

    • Manage and optimize the farmers markets that you lead throughout the week, including weekends, to grow our member database, create mulberry moments, and grow revenue.
    • Manage the team of four market staff (two cashiers and two samplers) to make sure they are doing their jobs (setup, sales, and sampling) well and growing.
    • Ensure products, signage, and displays are organized and branded properly.
    • Constantly train team members on customer service, cash handling, and product knowledge.
    • Build relationships with farmers market managers, other farmers, and key customers.
    • Work with the farm team to ensure timely deliveries and stock levels.

    Job Responsibilities

    We want to hire a strong Marketing Lead with the following key responsibilities:
    Brand & Content

    • Build and manage our marketing calendar across seasons, U-Pick events, and product launches.
    • Lead content creation for social media, email, website, and on-farm storytelling.
    • Maintain brand voice, visuals, and identity across all channels.
    • Capture or coordinate photos, videos, short-form content, and behind-the-scenes moments.

    Social Media & Digital Marketing

    • Manage Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other channels with a focus on growth and engagement.
    • Track metrics and provide clear insights on what’s working and what to improve.
    • Build and optimize email marketing flows for product sales and event announcements.

    Influencer & Community Marketing

    • Build relationships with influencers, creators, local businesses, and community groups.

    • Support marketing for farmers markets, retail partners, and online store promotions.

    Events & Farm Support

    • Coordinate marketing needs for U-Pick weekends and special events.

    • Help improve customer experience across digital and physical touchpoints.

    • This role reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with farm and marketing leadership teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sourcing

    • Partner with leadership to define hiring needs across farm operations, management, internships, and seasonal staff.
    • Develop creative sourcing strategies using local colleges, job boards, social media, community groups, and farming networks.
    • Proactively identify and engage high-quality passive candidates who fit our mission and culture.
    • Build and maintain a strong ongoing pipeline of A+ candidates for current and future roles.

    Interviewing

    • Screen applicants and coordinate interview scheduling.
    • Lead interviews with clarity, professionalism, and a positive candidate experience.
    • Conduct reference checks and verify relevant experience.
    • Communicate clearly with candidates throughout the entire process.

    HR & Onboarding

    • Manage onboarding logistics and ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
    • Maintain organized hiring dashboards, reports, and employee documentation.
    • Handle regular HR tasks such as record-keeping, paperwork, and coordinating employee information.
    • Refine and improve recruitment and HR processes to increase efficiency and team experience.
